spirit week...

this is at sherry and troy's wedding.....

well, its spirit week here at northland and they actually picked some good days. today was geezer day, tomorrow is pioneer day, wednesday is pastel day, thursday is favorite cartoon character day, and friday is space day (like astronauts or planets etc.) today was really funny....i really wanted to dress up but im not creative enough to think of what i could turn my wardrobe into... so i was just normal. but alot of girls stuffed their dresses to make it look like they had big butts and then there was this skit put on by two "geezers" trying to outdo each other with how old they were. it was hilarious. and then they were saying that " any time now, i think theres going to be a elderly super hero coming forth." and then dr raske came running on stage with this skin tight like super man outfit thing on..like the whole spandex then with like the different colored underwear on top...then he was flexing and all that stuff...it was hilarious....i said to my friend....only at northland do we do stuff like this....it was great....if you dont know dr raske its not as good but just imagine an older, rounder teacher running out like i said. oh and if you were wondering me and my friends are wearing "billy bob teeth" in that last pic.
so i forgot to say last thursday nite around 12:30 we had a fire alarm. i hate those things...but this one wasn't so bad b/c we had a visitor staying in our room and i woke up to the alarm going off and her like wimpering...and i know this may sound sick but i was so out of it that i thought it just cracked me up that she was almost crying...it was so pathetic sounding...anyways, i DID NOT laugh to her face, but i still thought it was humorous. the whole thing was a lot better than last semester's drill. it was like 1:30 am on a monday, and ya know everyones tired from extension etc....well it starts going off and first i think its my alarm and then i thought it was the rapture...im not even kidding. i was like " Lord, if thats your trumpet, that is the most annoying thing ive ever head. Make it stop." then, i thought we were getting bombed, and those were the sirens. no joke that all went thru my head in like 3 seconds...then my roomie was yelling for us to get out b/c she was security and she know that they never do drills on sunday nites...so that was kinda freaky. so all of us girls were crammed in the fine arts (old library) basement for like 45 minutes...then we found out some girls came in late from extension and hit the fire alarm...and was too embarrassed to say anything. needless to say, we were not very impressed. this time we were only down there for like maybe 10 minutes...but it was freezing out. i think our visitor recovered quickly...at least she got the whole college experience...sorry this was such so long....
